JET LAG NEEDS A NEW CONVERSATION

The problem with Jet Lag is that ALL solutions  today IGNORE most of the problem. Defining jet lag solely through the actions of the body clock is a MAJOR MISTAKE.  Furthermore, if the aircraft environment was properly understood pharmaceutical drugs would feature less in jet lag remedies!

What is Jet Lag?

Jet Lag is a challenge to the body’s normal functioning, in a compromised environment which upsets the biochemistry, reference points, energy and balance of the body.

What is the Compromised Environment?

The compromised environment is the altitude with less PROTECTION FROM IONIZING RADIATION.

It also features the cabin air with less oxygen and moisture leading to less than optimal HYDRATION.

Human biochemistry on the other hand -

Is ACCLIMATIZED to living at sea level. It functions best in an environment with abundant oxygen.

Over time has developed biological RHYTHMS controlled by the body clock which allow it to thrive in its natural environment.

The body’s relationship with its external environment is also related to balance in it’s internal ENVIRONMENT. The same environment jet lag affects at a fundamental level.
